My hobby Everybody has their own hobbies. It depends on their interest, characters, and age. Also it depends on our surroundings. A Hobby is something done for pleasure. Everyone in my family has their own hobby. My grandfather likes shooting anklebones . And my father likes shooting arrows. My hobby is collecting and reading books. I think that it has become popular. I have read many books by the world’s great writers in the world. My friend Amartuvshin also likes reading books. We like to talk what we read in them. I want to be a scholar. Books help me to learn many new things, I think my future career. In my leisure time I like listening to music. I collect tape recording of music. My favorite teacher Every student has their favorite teacher. There are many good teachers in our school. I want to write about one of them. She is Battogoo and works as a Chemistry teacher at Ikh Zasag secondary school. She teaches her subjects very well. Every year she has has great success in the Chemistry Olympics and usually takes first place or even wins many medals. I want to be doctor. She is a very creative teacher. She always prepares her lesson very well. She often uses many new methods in her chemistry teaching such as student centered teaching. < Over the past year that she has successfully prepared students for the universities and colleges entrance exams . She is very kind and cheerful woman. In our free time she plays and dances with us I am proud of her is good teacher. > Mongolian traditional food The main component of the Mongols meals are meat, diary product and beverages. Types of Mongolian food vary as widely as in other countries of the world. Mongols prefer fatty boiled mutton to all other meats. The main drinks are tea, milk airag and vodka. Guests are always served tea first. The Mongolians drink milk tea with salt. Sometimes the tea is cooked with rice, dumplings and flour. Airag is probably the most favorite drink of the Mongolians. Airag is generously served at weddings, big parties and ceremonies. Airag, the fermented mare’s milk, milk has three times more Vitamin C than cow’s milk. Traditional Mongolian food has many kinds of diary product (dried curd), cheese, cottage cheese and others. There is different technology to make Mongolian diary product and yogurt. Meat has always been an important food of the Mongolian. Meat is also in the open air and then used for cooking. There are several kinds of meat dishes. They are makh, dotor meat, tolgoi and shiir. Boodog is the most traditional Mongolian dish. It is prepared from goat or tarbagan meat. Also, Horhog is one of the delicacies. It is prepared from sheep. In the countryside food is cooked once a day. In the morning and afternoon people drink milk tea meat boortsog. Food is only cooked for supper. The capital city of Mongolia UB, the capital city of Mongolia is situated between four mountains. The first settlers in what is now UB arrived in the early 1600s. UB means Red Hero. The name of the city has changed many times. It was Urguu, Nomin Huree. Ekh Huree, Da Huree, Niislel Huree. The name of the city was changed to UB now covers an area of about 136,000 hectares stretched along the Tuul river valley. Today, the city’s population is over 600,000 and the appearance is quite modern in design and construction. The center of the city is Sukhbaatar Square named for the revolutionary hero whose statue stands prominently in the middle. There are more than 110 secondary schools and 100 kindergartens. UB has 9 districts: Bayanzurkh, Bayabgol, Songino khairhkan etc. The capital city is the country’s scientific, education, cultural, political is economic centre. There are many factories in UB is subdivided into 121 services districts and trade companies. The city, where the highest state authority bodies of Mongolia are located, shall be called the capital city, Ulaanbaatar. Almost one million people live in or around the capital UB. Ulaanbaatar alone has absorbed thousands of workers from the government and industry; as well as migrants from the countryside. Also it has reduced the urban cost of living. Yet the cost of newly built apartments is not affordable even for many of urban residents. Residents of ger districts spend a fair amount of time main sources of air pollution. Urban oncomes are considerably higher than rural incomes. Mongolian national holidays Mongolians celebrate many holidays. They are Naadam, Tsagaan sar, independence day, New year, and teacher, woman, children’s day etc. the Naadam of the victory of the People’s Revolution. All people wear national clothes-deep during Naadam. It is a ceremony that combines sports traditions, arts and customs. There are 3 main competitions; horse racing, wrestling and archery. Wrestling- Mongolian wrestlers wear a special costume. It consist of a hat small shorts (shuudag ), a vest with long sleeves (zodog ) and heavy boots. Wrestling has no weight classes. The title of ‘falcon’ is The best wrestler is granted the title of champion. People choose the best and fastest horses and keep them on a strict diet. The riders are 6-8 years old children. Archery- Archers shoot at small targets from 70-80 meters. The archery contest winner gets the title “mergen” for being the best archer. Tsagaan sar Is the most important holiday in Mongolia. It is in either January or February. Tsagaan Sar is Mongolian’s New year. Tsagaan sar means ‘ White Month’ in English. Before TSagaan sar Mongolians make a lot of buuz . boil meat, prepare a lot of dairy product and buy gift . The night before Tsagaan sar is bituun . It means Tsagaan sar –Eve . Early on the first morning of tsagaan sar , after sunshine , each family in each yard goes to the oldest person’s ger together and greet each other.
